So, it snowed, and snowed and snowed…the groundworks have literary frozen to a halt – March has not been a productive as we first hoped. Kids’ schools are closed so what can we do? Of course, we make the most of the Blackdown Hills and go sledging. The kids on their brightly coloured plastic sleds bought after the last heavy snow and seemingly destined never to be used again until today. For the adults? Animal feed bags filled with straw. It is great fun, though climbing back up the hill is a hard slog.

Seeing the changing seasons in this beautiful part of Somerset is such a privilege and while we don’t often get snow like this, it is wonderful when it comes – truly magical and a great excuse to stop digging the footings for the cabins’ foundations.
