Welcome to our Buckland Farm Log Cabin blog. We are Catherine and Chris. Together we have three kids (two sons, one daughter) and a trio of dogs (a beautiful golden retriever and guardian of our daughter, a yorkshire terrier that thinks she’s a rottweiler whom we adopted from a rescue centre, and our crazy cockapoo that looks like a living teddy bear).
Together, our family are on a new venture as we build four log cabins on Chris’s family’s farm. We want to create a beautiful place for families to holiday in this stunning part of Somerset on the Blackdown Hills – a designated area of outstanding natural beauty.
We will blog about the highs and lows of the build, places to visit around this part of the West Country, the antics of the kids ‘n’ dogs (even letting the kids blog, which we may regret) and much more. So please follow our story and hopefully one day book to stay in one of our luxury log cabins!
